PROJECT GALLERY
A small sampling of photos from two different Asbestos Abatement jobs.
These photos offer reassurance by showing what to expect at each stage of the abatement process
This was an Asbestos removal job in Powell River, BC. We removed drywall with asbestos containing drywall joint compound and vinyl sheet flooring with asbestos containing paper backing.
Before the removal of drywall, the area needs to be set up with 6 mil poly to cover any areas that are not being removed. This provides an easy way to be able to encapsulate the removal area and leave your home spotless after we take down the containment from the removal area.
If there are only select areas of a room(s) that the client would like removed, we contain all of the areas not being removed so that final clean up is a breeze!
Removal of multiple asbestos containing materials at the same time will not only get the job done quickly, but is the most cost effective way. In these photos the removal of the kitchen bulkheads, kitchen drywall and the vinyl sheet flooring were all removed in the same job project.
Prior to removal at a high risk job. Negative air machine(s) must be installed. The negative air machine must be HEPA filter leak Tested on site prior to use and must be vented outside. A three stage decontamination unit must be set up and it must have a shower area, a transfer area and a clean area for workers.
DEMOLITION
When a house is deemed structurally unsafe and the hazardous materials cannot be removed safely before demolition, a whole home demolition then needs to take place. This is done by setting up perimeters for a safe job site, using firehose water to saturate the materials as the excavator collects, moves and places them into the double lined bin for disposal.
